Kishenzi, the adult female Peregrine, keeps a close eye on the banding process. She returned to the nest immediately after the banding was complete, to verify her chicks were unharmed.
During the banding, the female Peregrine twice perched on the ladder guard only twenty feet above the nest site, watching what was going on.
